Have you ever wanted a new beginning? Ezekiel Sanchez (Good Buffalo Eagle), co-founder of Anasazi Foundation, offers hope and advice for a new beginning.
Transcript of A New Beginning:
In the beginning, when we developed Anasazi Foundation, one of the things that we wanted to invite was for people to have a new beginning.
And so, I’m often asked what is—what can Anasazi offer a person? And it comes in one word that I give, and I say: hope. And of course, the next question is: ‘Well, hope in what?’ Hope in a new beginning.
All of us, at one time or another—during our walking through this earth—have always wished, sometimes, that we could just start all over again. If only I could start all over again, or if I could just have a new beginning.
But really, there’s not too many places that will invite you and I to have a new beginning. But Anasazi does. It’s a little wilderness program in the middle of nowhere that invites Two-Legged Beings to a new beginning.
Now, people will say: ‘Well how can you do that?’ And so, we developed a philosophy—if you want to call it a philosophy, or a way—and we called it “The Anasazi Way.” It is not THE way, but it’s A way of touching the heart.
Because this philosophy is geared to not change behavior but to change the heart. And the only way we’re going to have a new beginning is to really look at our hearts and see what things there we want to discard and then focus on new beginnings and then focus on new things that will bring us happiness and peace—not misery or contention.
I loved Anasazi and it saved my family. Things did not work out the first time but we did no longer have a heart at War. It was many years later that I as a mother was able to get my children off drugs and I owe Anasazi for that and the foundation that they so believe in. I am in Ohio now with my daughter doing well. My son stayed in Arizona and is doing very well so I just want to thank you for being their for my children….i chose to walk away from the money….ty anasazi……….
